FSR codes of practice for cell site analysis guidance and best practice, 17 November 2026
Progress and updates one year on from the compliance deadline for Forensic Science Regulator Codes of Practice in relation to cell site analysis that was set by the Forensic Science Regulator.
Our workshop considers latest updates relevant to the law enforcement community one year on from when ISO 17025 DIG 200 became a part of our professional lives.
It will provide an assessment of the latest picture and any developments, along with their impact on the operational activity of investigators and analysts involved in cell site analysis and RF surveys.
We’ll point you in the direction to the latest guidance in order for you to keep up to date with developments.
The workshop will also look at how to demonstrate your competency if your organisation is currently not compliant and consider the implications of non-compliance.
Delegates are invited to bring any experiences and questions they might about this challenging but important area.
Our expert
Workshop will be led by Darran Fletcher who spent 30 years in technical and intelligence roles with Nottinghamshire Police before entering the private sector and founding his own private consultancy.
He continues to work as an expert witness in cell site analysis and forensic radio surveying and has been at the forefront of national best practice for several years helping to shape it for the benefit of all stakeholders.
Darren now works as a consultant at IntaForensics, which were the first company to gain ISO 17025 accreditation for cell site analysis.
The day will include:
An introduction to ISO17025 DIG 200 in relation to cell site analysis, its context and how it affects cell site activity of investigators and analysts in an operational environment.
An update on progress one year on from the October 2 deadline, including any further developments or national announcements. What are the implications of non-compliance?
We’ll also look at the DIG101 element of 17025 to help provide clarity on the Regulator’s requirements for compliance declarations.
Best practice around how to demonstrate your competency to UKAS should you and your organisation start down the road to accreditation.
