Preparing a case file for a CPs Charging Decision, 3 July 2024

  • New workshop that provides an operational checklist of key considerations investigators need to address when preparing a case file to the CPS to be considered for a charging decision.

  • It will provide delegates with contemporary guidance, and operational best practice. It will also highlight key challenges and pitfalls and offer sound advice as to how to address these challenges.

  • It is aimed at all investigators who want to build on and enhance existing skills and who want to be kept up to date with contemporary challenges and issues around this vital stage of the investigation process.

  • It will be led by Paul Keitch, a highly experienced investigator who worked for 30 years with West Yorkshire Police and built up a specialism as a lead disclosure officer.
