We’ll explore the ‘hidden opportunities’ and set them in context of the overall digital strategy. The workshop will also outline the challenges and pitfalls and provide practical guidance on how to overcome them.

The day will also look at the importance understanding and setting parameters of your digital activity in relation to call data and using the ‘digital mindset’ to develop a rich picture to help identity the location, activity and associations of a person or people of interest in an investigation.

We’ll emphasise the importance of carrying out your activity in a legal and ethical manner that protects the integrity of the investigation and achieve a position criminal justice outcome.

This session is a must-attend for any investigator or analyst looking to unlock the full potential of call data, uncover hidden insights, and integrate advanced digital techniques into their investigative strategy—while staying legally and ethically sound.

The day will include best practice around:

  • Cleaning and reading your data: tidying your call data on excel and how to run your own quick analysis

  • Understanding seemingly discrepancies in data: overlapping calls and what they mean
