Financial Crime Enablers and their role in criminality, 13 March 2025

The Investigator is hosting this CPD event that is aimed at financial investigators and all those involved in investigating and preventing financial crime in both the public and the private sector.

It provides contemporary best practice around financial crime enablers and their role in concealing and facilitating criminality.

A Financial Crime enabler is an individual an organisation or entity that facilitates criminality.

Our workshop will provide an overview of the current threat picture in relation to financial crime enablers and how to identify them.

We’ll also provide best practice around how to investigate them as well as considerations around preventing their use in future criminality.

It is important for investigators to identify these enablers at the earliest opportunity and detect suspicious activity to ensure they are prevented from engaging in any further criminal activity.

We’ll be considering best practice around:

  • Technical and Environmental Enablers

  • Business and Financial Enablers

  • Professional Enablers

• Held online via Teams

• Certificates of CPD available

Outline of the day

  • Session Two: Technical and Environmental Enablers: what they are, how to identify them and how to tackle them.
